Activities Leaders Retreat

As our name explains, The Leadership Experience Lesotho exists to identify, develop, and send out godly leaders who will serve those in their sphere of influence instead of use their position for selfish gain. We have been working with our Small Group leaders for a few years now, but there are many other youth in our program who show a lot of commitment and leadership potential. Instead of our number of Small Group Leaders increasing exponentially, we began meeting with a second group, the Activities Leaders. Each Activity Leader is responsible for overseeing an aspect of the youth program. These aspects include worship team, dance team, drama team, poetry, mentorship, homework club, media, and equipment management. We meet with these leaders as a team, and additionally each Activity Leader is paired with a Small Group leader for discipleship; our desire is to disciple disciplers who pour into each other.

In June, just after we took our Small Group Leaders for their retreat, we took the Activities Leaders for their first Leaders Retreat. We spent a day doing activities and discussing the importance of trust, unity, and communication in a team and as individual leaders. We were encouraged by the level of maturity and openness shown by this group at their very first retreat. We look forward to working and growing together in the days to come, and thank God for what a blessing they are!

Please pray for all the LXP student leaders, that God will continue to encourage and equip them, that they will deepen their relationship with the Lord, and that we will serve  together wholeheartedly in perfect unity.
