Moving In and Moving Forward
It’s official! As of the 17th of October the LXP House at the LXP Base is open for business living life!
We are thrilled the share this testimony of God’s faithfulness as we have realised our long time goal of moving into the LXP House and shifting our centre of life and ministry to the LXP Base. It has been an exciting and blessed few months so far; we are loving the new adventure of having our own home and a place to host our guests from both near and far. The kids and youth also love the new place as it provides them with a centre where they can gather (almost) anytime to hang out, play soccer, charge their phones, and talk to us. We have seen a new depth in our relationships, especially with the youth, as we have become more accessible and can offer a welcoming environment to all who stop by. Personally, we have been blessed by the privacy of our own home and the convenience of having electricity and being much closer to the main road. There have been challenges in setting up and maintaining our own home (leaky roof, unfinished floors, getting curtain rods to stay screwed into the cement wall plaster, spiders and bats sneaking in holes in the wall we didn’t know existed, to name a few) but we are enjoying (almost) every minute of it!
Our desire is to begin installing plumbing this month, and see to the ceilings after plumbing is complete. Then will come flooring, and we pray furniture will appear all along the way! Thank you so much to all who have prayed and given to make this goal a reality. We are blessed beyond measure, and hope you can come visit soon!
Below are photos of the house and some of things we have enjoyed in it so far!

The outdoor toilets were the last step to be completed before we moved in. Indoor plumbing will be installed next!

First week in the new house (no electricity or garage door yet). It took much longer than a week for our dog to get used to the move!

Let there be light! We were blessed to have our electricity connected just a few weeks after moving in.
